Christmas Wishes and a Visit to the Playground

I'm dropping into the Snippets Playground with this seasonal card and it is also here to wish a Merry Christmas to all my lovely blogging friends and followers.  I have to admit that I've been a bit short on commenting just recently for various reasons but hopefully normal service will be resumed very soon.

If you visit the Playground you will see an interesting Z-fold card made by the lovely Di, using a super stamp which is of course the prize for a lucky person this time around.  There are also going to be other opportunities for goodies throughout the holiday time so do keep an eye out for future posts and follow Di's detailed instructions to be in with a chance.

For this card I've used up some more of my snippets starting with a square of red card which has had the centre taken out for another project (called 'gutting' I believe) although I'm sure there could be a nicer description of the technique!!  Next I found a snippet of blue printed paper, also a left over; some pieces of white pearl card were cut using a stitched hills die set and also for the label and frame.  Finally I raided the red, white, black and green boxes for some smaller pieces to die cut and assemble the Santa, poinsettia, Christmas trees and the sentiment.  The holly on the sentiment frame are part of the cut and have been carefully coloured with a marker pen.

Hills - stitched hills die set Lawn Fawn
Santa and Sentiment - Tonic die sets
Poinsettia - Marianne die
Trees - die from Crafter's Companion
